Looking good! Very pretty material. I love the blue color! If this is your first batch, you may not realize that the pitted/brownish/yellowish areas won't go away or take a shine. You could tumble them in coarse grit until the spots are gone or grind them out with a rotorary tool. Later, jeri

That is wonderful material. Beautiful blues. Some additional time in rough grind, and you'll have magnifcent gems.

Very nice batch of blue! One criticism, though - your work area is WAY TOO CLEAN! ;D

Very nice batch. Love the blue. We agree with running them through course more for a smother finish. Some of them would turn out very beautiful. Debby & Tom

Thanks for all response! I like your reactions very much! The captions to the photos got lost and the last photo is just after 80 Gritt (7+4days) and 220 Gritt (7days). Bikerrandy -thank you for your help with the posting! Paul - I am glad I did it quicker than you, it sure seemed a long and painful (many failures) process, thanks to bikerrandy I got it Jeri -thanks for the advice Jo - yes I found them myself and have litterally tons (ton=100kg) to work on and more tons at the locality to everybody - I have been told by an expert that this intense blue colour is found only in another locality in Australia - does anybody know more? I have some pieces the size of a fist - how would you suggest these should be worked on??

Debby & Tom have alot of experience with their Montana agates which are similar to your beauties. I just sliced a couple of their agates that they kindly shared with me and believe me, it would be worth it for you to get a wet tile saw with a 7" continuous rim diamond blade to cut some into slices. Looking at them, I would think they have beautiful patterns inside of them. Don't know where you would find the saw in Greece, but I'm sure you can track one down. From there, you can cut cabochon shaped pieces and tumble them. You can also cut your rough into chunks, that will cut down your initial time spent rounding the rough and sloughing off those areas that Jeri mentioned above. A saw will also allow you to shave off those problem areas and cut down the time spent tumbling in 80 grit. There is lots of experience and advice around here, so keep asking any questions that come into your head. Jo
