Yep and the un PC truth is lots of those folks on welfare work too under other names, take money under the table paying no taxes, and send tons of US money back to foreign countries. In addition, they overpopulate our school districts and create need for bilingual programs thus stealing opportunities from the children of US citizens, bankrupt our hospitals ( one of the real reasons for high medical insurance costs) crowd our highways with uninsured often unlicensed drivers, raise our crime rates sky high and crowd our jails, proliferate gang activity and drugs, and often vote illegally in our elections. Yet everyone is afraid to do anything about it because politicians mainly care only about themselves....Mel

I think the first thing the government should do is change the laws so that a child born in the U.S. to an illegal alien is not automatically considered a U.S. citizen.

I can understand the desperation to be here and work here for these people. If it were truly just at that point, none of us would mind giving a helping hand till they got on their feet and made their own way "legally". Another small business owner here always hired immigrants to work in his small cafe' and he just went out of business. Said that he would just pay them cash the first couple of days and if they were good workers, he would offer them full time and they would refuse because that would mean he would put him on the strait payroll and tax their money. They would quit because they did not want taxes held out and as the last woman put it "I will loose my welfare and I deserve it". The last few stole a lot from him too so it added to the reason he went under. Up until a few years ago, he never had that problem. They were always happy to work and start their lives here. He himself was from Italy and felt he should help the new people here make their way. Said a lot has changed. Fran

This information was just sent to me by a buddy and he says it came form the LA Times newspaper. I didn't fact check all of it but I certainly saw a lot of this while I was living in So. California and it's one of the main reasons I moved out......Mel
LA times statistics for LA county
95% of all murder warrants are for illegals, 75% of the most wanted criminals, illegals
40% of workers in LA Co ( which has 10.2 million residents) mainly illegals, working for cash and paying no taxes.
2/3 of all LA Co. Births to illegals on the taxpayers dime
35% of all Co. jail inmates are Mexican nationals at a cost of like 40K per year per inmate to the taxpayers. I was in Ventura County where it's even higher!
FBI says half of all gang members are illegals
60% of folks in Taxpayer subsidized HUD housing, Illegals
21 Spanish speaking radio stations, 3.9 million Spanish speakers and this last group of stats which stunned even me since I worked for the AG Dept.
Less than 2% of illegals are picking crops but 29% on welfare and illegals constitute 90% of California population growth.
Gee and I wonder why the Governator governs a state that is flat broke!
