This dang Lot O is going to test me, but finally I got a batch I think I can live with. I thought I was done and Tony saw them and said well they are all filmy and gritty, LOL, so I polished again and then ran in Borax and now I think they got shiny. The problem is I keep trowing stuff in as the material goes down so I never know what is in there, saw scraps, etc. Some of this contained Lakers that Tony got from Snow Dog, they got really pretty. I am going to keep at it, I have a batch of obsidian and apache tears going now that is really trying me, LOL, again thanks to NorthShoreRocks and Connrock for helping me! Amber

Great batch,Amber. My loto limped along for months and finally it bit the dust. Guess I'll get another motor for it when I know they are improved.

Well Amber I'm happy you finally found some of that patience that's stored WAY down inside of you! lol It'll all just get easier from here on in.
You mentioned doing Apache Tears. I've found that by following the instructions that came with the Lot-O on doing "tears" you can come up with some amazing results.
One thing though.Unlike other types of rocks where you can get away with miner flaws on their surfaces,"tears" are VERY unforgiving if not roughed COMPLETELY free of ANY flaws!
