Nice batch, too bad the motor koncked out. we just replaced the motor in our 33b. It ran for 3 years almost non stop. I find if I use my air and blow out the motors they run cooler, and may run longer. Debby and Tom

Oh, it sucks when you get stopped for something like a motor! I hope it gets to you soon so you can get back at it! Looks like that batch is headed in the right direction! I have noticed that if I put any quartz in with agates, it gets a bit shattered like your rose quartz. The quartz's seem to do better on their own cause the agates play rough. The Tigers eye is really looking sweet too! Fran

That rose quartz was already shattered. It's from a batch that Joe Mojave sent me. He told me that it came a mountain of rose quartz that was blasted & which caused a lot of micro fractures in it. I kind like it like that! Toying with the idea of shaping the Tigers eye since I got the Genie going now.

That is one good thing about tumbles, you can pick out what you want to cab from it because it allows you to find beautiful material that you may otherwise overlook. Tigers eye can be a little troublesome but you will do well with it. (Can undercut sometimes just like pet wood). Keep up the great work! Fran

Thanks, Fran. I kinda like going ahead & throwing my rocks in the tumbler for the first grind to see which way they are going to go and then finishing up with the Genie. It knock the rough edges off even if it does take longer but I can do a whole lot at the same time. I have enough things to keep me busy here while the tumbler is going so sometimes it's actually longer than a week before I even open it up! Right now I am going to find a mask before I do any more cabs!

Donnie, that's a great looking batch. Too bad on your motor, but I'm sure you'll get fixed up and running at 100% shortly! Good job! Sounds like you have a great system going!
