Been away from the form for several months due to work commitment, training requirements and the birth of our second granddaughter. Finally with some free time I made up this three stone intarsia cab. Thanks for looking

Really awesome. I can only assume if and when I attempt something like this I'll be planning, measuring, prefitting, repeatedly going back to the machine, and maybe even busting out the calipers!

Jim: That is gorgeous, I can't imagine making something like that, I am guessing the center stone is Llanite from Texas but what are the other 2 materials? Super job!!!!! Amber

Great work! How long does it take to get a curved seem line of three materials to match perfectly??

Excellent work! The curved edge must have been really challenging.

I am truly humbled by all your comments. Thank You. Amber is correct on center stone being Llanite but I can not tell you what the other two are. Not very good at remembering material but combination just fit. I can tell you it was not an easy task. Used a compass, half-round grinding wheel and intarsia machine. Found out had to use three different pieces for each curvature then fit it. Grind, fit-check, grind, fit-check. Was quite time consuming but I am pleased with results. I have drawn up a sketch for the final piece and will post when completed.
Hope to have names for other two material.
