I have a huge amount of tears, & I would like to present them in a way that is unusual. I have thought about mounting them with a clear glue to a piece of glass. has anyone tried this? I am in awe of their beauty, but am tired of using the ole flashlight when I want to look at them.

I never did it but I would imagine that if you had a bowl made of something non-transparent,,,,like wood, cut the bottom out and replaced it with a clear or smokey glass, set it on a fancy box made of wood that has a light in it and a switch to show the tears natural and back lit???

I looked at some one time and thought long and hard about interesting ways to display them, and I guess I'm going to give away some of my secrets here...lol... One thing I'm thinking of doing is creating a permanent Xmas tree, and the ornaments are all in natural stone. This tree is 67" tall, and I'm thinking about it for our entry way... or maybe something smaller like this... This one is even smaller and I'm definitely going to use something like it, it is battery powered and slowly rotates. Would be great on a window shelf... Next, for some of my smaller items, I'm thinking of hanging them on this spiral in a window so they can collect the light... I was thinking about doing individual one's, nice specimens, for family members for Xmas, on something like this... Also thinking of taking a bunch of old tin lanterns and using the dremel to notch out fixtures for some pieces to allow the candle light to filter through the stone. I did see something like this with a star and glass beads, here's an example... A friend of mine downtown has a restaurant where he uses the lanterns like the star above, fills them up with cheap clear xmas lights, and boy do they shine! I thought that having that light shine through natural stone would be beautiful. May try that at home... Just a few of the off the wall ideas my twisted brain comes up with...

Very cool ideas all of you. Can't wait to see the finished products! I'm running out of shelf space for specimens and such so I could get some ideas seeing yours in action...
