I think he is too.
Hmmm.... My gut tells me it may have some sort of green use. If those lights are grow lights, or wide spectrum bulbs, could it be a contraption for holding multiple adjustable shelves for an indoor herb, flower or veggie garden? Adrian... How very sustainable of you!

Could it be a fish aquarium? Possibly desk of some sort?

Hmmm, Jo, you are called Naturenut for a reason! No, it's not for flowers and such. But, what a great idea! In fact I was pretty sure some great ideas will come up when I started this contest.
Mr P, no it's not in the bedroom, it's in the living room.
Someone is on the right track though.

Someone is on the right track though. It's the flying saucer thing, isn't it?

I am going with a desk or computer station.
My only other guess would be a dinning table and chairs!

Could it be a combination disco light/fan? What ever it is, I can see that it is both well engineered, and well built. Woody

Adrian: Well now thank heavens you got me here, this thread has soooooo much potential! Although my other pervs beat me to it my first guess was pole dancing, LOL I know you did a show for Ina before continuing this project, tha tis why we have not heard form her, she is still recovering, LOL
My next guess is that is is some sort of Nanny Cam you are installing for Ioana, since she is so darn cute. Now when she has a boy over and they are sitting on the couch, if he puts his arm around her, that sword you are working on will drop down the pole and slice him, yep that is my guess The Hands Off Machine for parents of teen aged girls, LOL. Other than that I am thinking some sort of home theater system, or possibly a light set up to mount your camera for picture taking???

Maybe it is a wall bed, like a murphy bed you are installing for guests, or when you and Ina want to mix it up, then when you drop the bed the disco ball goes on and you start the show, LOL

Good contest Adrian. I can't really come up with much although whatever you are hanging could be pretty heavy based on the diameter of that rod. I'm thinking some kind of lighting fixture with a suspended disc or bowl shape comprised of polished agate slices. The backlighting would sure make them glow.
