More luck than anything!!! the 1st stalagtite I sold 5 days after I got it which allowed me to purchase 2 more. 1 was 3 times as large that was $400. 2 days later at an estate sale there was an 18" highland park slab saw for sale for $800 and they wouldn't come down but instead of leaving I thought they might like to see the stalagtite and ended up trading straight across. I never got a pic of that 1 but this one is the 1 that the stalagtite bolo w/montana sapphire came from for anyone who might be interested last I knew there was 1 more left, a large 1 I believe that's 6" in diameter and I can give you the name of the old rock dealer that has it. I think he said 1200$ but don't quote me on that one!!

well I knew that there was more available, but still at the moment of trade I had a great western 18" and another 18" highland park along w/a 24" hilquist. the great western was only $650 which my best friend from st louis who couldn't find 1 there came out and got it. why I thought I needed another toy I'm not sure.

I don't think I would have even hesitated on the trade; but knowing there was more of these specimans left, I'm sure made your decision even easier. Beautiful Sample!!! THANKS< Steve

didn't cry cause I really wanted to cut some but couldn't bring myself to do it till it broke so that put a smile on my face knowing the rock gods had approved. must have been divine intervention

That's really cool seeing the rough form of that malachite. Sounds like you swung a smoking deal on the saw!
