For those of you who use super glue as a filler for cracks and pits in stones (or for any other reason) I want to share a vendor with you. This company has a full line of cyanocrylates (super glues) as well as accelerators and debonders. Their prices were the very cheapest I could find after extensive searching. I have purchased from them several times and their shipping is very fast . And best of all, there is no shipping cost. Check them out if you need super glue: woodenwonderstx.com/WWBlue/NewGlueWS.htmlVance

Thanks for the posting, I can also use them as a source for my adhesives for my RC Airplanes, that rocks!

Does it work as well as Starbond or Hot Stuff? If so, those are great prices

We can really use CA glue for our cabs? I thought it fumes and yellows over time. Am I wrong? (I hope, it would make life easier for me).

I used the Hot Stuff glues for many years, and I have found these glues to be comparable in every way. Just a lot cheaper. The only difference I have noticed is in the accelerators. The fast acting accelerator is not quite as fast as Zip Kicker and a few others. Their slow acting type is about the same though. As far as CA turning yellow over a period of time, I really can't answer that. I have used it on some cabs on very rare occasions, but it has been many years ago and I no longer have the cabs to look at now. I'll let some other forum members address this issue. I use these glues for attaching findings and other uses now, not for fillling pits and cracks.

My problem with CA is that it breaks down in the light, so if you have items in direct sunlight the CA will break down in a fairly short time.

That's the first I've heard about UV exposure with CA. I heard Opticon can turn yellow with UV exposure.

Thanks, I think I can use it for some. I thought about Opticon but I didn't know it yellows when exposed to UV.

Hi Mary Ann, I use the gel instead of wax for dopping, extra thin for cracks, & regular for pits. Haven't tried this brand yet tho. Glad you got home safely. Jo
