Hi guys - For these threaded rods that are part of the auto feed, what thread count are they usually threaded, and how fast do I want it turning?
Thanks

Feed speed should be adjustable if possible. Softer rocks can take a faster feed speed and hard agates should be cut more slowly. For my 12 inch saw I am running 4 RPM on a 20 threads per inch rod, so it's 5 minutes for an inch, a tad fast for hard stuff IMO. My 18 inch saw is hydraulic feed so it adjusts it's speed to thickness and hardness of what I'm cutting. I think 7-10 minutes per linear inch of cut is ideal for 16 inch and bigger saws which roughly translates to 1/2" 20 Threaded rod at 2-3 RPM.
