Looks like blue quartz ( dumortierite in quartz) from , I think, Brazil or somewhere in South America. It's a natural material, not dyed....Mel

what causes the blue in that stuff? I know copper can make that color in certain rocks, what do you suppose it would be in that?

Plus, if a material is dyed, it is usually more even in coloring. At least I would think so.

It is not dyed and is a blue quartz from Brazil. Cut a couple of similar slabs the other day.
