Can anyone tell me if Arrowhead has good diamond belts for expanding drums? They are not 3M etc., I don't think, but are a bit cheaper... it would be nice to know if they're about as good as the name brand belts in anyone's experience. I've already ordered two, as well as 3 grits of diamond paste, but have never had more expensive or name brand diamond belts, so will have nothing to compare them to (have only used SiC belts). Thanks!

If they are Eastwind, you will find they work fine for a while but dobn't hold up. I went through a set from them and was not that impressed. The coatings on them wore off pretty quick, especially on the 360 and 600 grits. I complained and arrowhead lapidary replaced them for free, no questions asked. The replacements pretty much did the same thing, then the 600 split on me. That was it for belts. I would suggest being light with them. They cut fine and I would say not to push too hard. They are nothing like nova wheels (I switched to Nova wheels and didn't look back) or raytech belts, but the price is right. So I'd say the eastwind belts are so-so but the customer service from Arrowhead lapidary is outstanding. Steve
