Donnie: Those are actually golden horn coral from Texas and you'll find you get the best pattern by always cutting them perpendicular to the long axis. That will yield cuts showing the best view of the internal structure of that extinct group of rugose corals. They are also too soft for tumbling as they are calcite replacements but they do polish real fine on the cabbing rig...Mel
