I won't bore you with the story of Bugsy, but he passed on a year ago, he was an incredible pet and I can't believe how much I miss him. Today I did this necklace from his photo, sawed out the shape in silver then I etched it using the battery and salt water method. Also incorporated a piece of spur I had trimmed off of him once. Next is one of Bugsy's last photos that I used to make this. nwileystudios.com/rocks/bugsy posing copy.jpg[/img] and then there is this . . . nwileystudios.com/rocks/wormy stone.jpg[/img] Thanks for looking.

Awwww, I loved Bugsy's story! I loved my chickies also and miss not having them any longer. That is a very personal, beautiful piece. I also really like the cab in the second one, do you know what it is?

Wow, Nancy! It just gets better and better! What artistry and ingenuity you show in the first piece! It's a lovely tribute to what was obviously a very treasured pet.
And the second - modern art at its finest!

Shannon Thanks Shannon I do not know what that stone is but I caught part of a PBS show on dinos and it was saying that it is thought they died from parasite infestation. They showed some coperilite(sp?) that had the same pattern and coloring. ? We found it at Snively Hot Springs, just looked like a small river rock. If you PM me your addy again I will send you a piece of it.

Bugsy was a handsome rooster and your pendant is a beautiful and original work of art!
I like the other pendant, too.

Excellent tribute and a true artistry piece! You really did a great job on the first one and the second, well, it looks like modern art and very pretty in its own way! The texture and pattern you have encircling the stone really matches the stone itself! Fran
