These are four Ocean Jasper Cabs for four special women in my family. Three are old stock that I snagged off ebay and one came from Randy. They have Anraku bails on them. This one just had my sisters name written all over it. This one, smattered with druzy, reminded me of my cousin Leslie. This one just had to go to my cousin Susan. She loves greens that remind her of the sea. This is for my Aunt Sara who loves golden colors. It has alot of depth to it. My sister received hers today and said she loves it and will cherish it always. Just want to give thanks and appreciation for everyone who has shared their work and knowledge and encouraged me as I progressed. The fact that I can do this for these family members, (all of whom I have been out of touch with and just recently reconnected), is a life changing thing. Don't know if anyone can relate, but long ago when I sent a gift to my sister, it was always criticized. It is now a different story. Thanks to all. Thanks for looking everyone! Jo

They are lovely--and obviously a "from the heart" gift. I hope they bring many smiles, as I am sure they will.

Jo, those are all beautiful pieces. I like the use of the Anraku bails instead of wrapping or smithing - it leaves the stone to stand on its own, and those are some beautiful stones!
Tom
PS - I assume the bails are glued on - do you use some flavor of epoxy, or something different?

... for four special women in my family. Three are old ... You don't have to reveal the ladies' age, Jo! ;D Beautiful pendants! My favorite is the one you gave to cousin Susan. Adrian

Adrian, LOL. You always know how to make me smile! Well, you all are making me smile Tom, I use E-6000. I do have a 2-part epoxy and have used it successfully, but mixed it in the wrong ratio once with poor results, so I chose to use this so I could get them sent off quickly. Most of the disconnect was due to a dispute between my father and my aunt, in which I had no involvement. Well my father passed 10 years ago (still miss him) and time marched on. It's amazing what a healer time can be.

Jo they are all lovely, I am sure they will treasure them. I use Aileens stone glue that I buy at Micheals for the bails, it is so much easier than mixing epoxy and you know I wear a cab everyday and have never had one pop off, just be sure to wipe the lid, I have thrown away about 4 tubes because it seals closed on there!

Wonderful selection! Way to go. I gave explanations like yours to my mom's few I gave her (facets of her personality rather than different people, in that case) for her 80th birthday Nice!

Jo, those are all beautiful. You are so thoughtful and I'm sure they all will be appreciated. It's great that you matched the stones to the individuals. My favorite is the druzy one for your cousin.

The pendants are outstanding, as your work always is, but the best part is the healing of the family. Family is too important to let past grievances tear it apart. I'm so happy for you. Jo
