We are trying to figure out what to do for summer holidays this year and we are thinking going to Utah at the start of August. We were planning on seeing the usual tourist spots (Arches, Zion, Bryce, etc), and of course rock collecting along the way.
The real question I have is will it be too hot for tenting in August? I was thinking it would not be too bad if we tried to get camp spots up in the mountains then drove to see stuff or collect. Also are there any must go collecting or scenic spots you would suggest? I'm coming from Saskatchewan so anywhere along the way would be good too.
Thanks for any help/suggestions.
