"ATTA BOY" good job on those. Are you making rings or pendants?

Thanks everyone, I am not sure what these are going to be yet. The first one will make a good ring though.

Lovely stuff -- I'm yet to dare with the fire agate... I have one rough, untouched, scred to do it yet, lol... inspiring, though

Love the fire agate! That first one looks like a marmoset paw. (I have a good imagination.)
Do you know the source? CA, AZ, MX?
Thanks for sharing!

These all come from Aguas Calientes Mexico. I cut for a ebay seller and get rough as payment. If any of you all are looking for rough I have a little I could sell.

Beautiful set of fire agates!
I love working with fire agate, it a slow go to get the most out of the fire and the knowing when to stop with what you see. Same deal with opal, keep going to get a bit more reveal and boom your through the fire and the lights go out.
I use a rough grind to get close then medium/fine grind to start to reveal the fire then to go to prepolish as the fire is revealed.
I will have to get back to you on the rough as I will want some later on, I still have a bunch of uncut chunkies and some worked up to the reveal process that need finishing.

I agree cutting fire agate is very similar to opal.
