Well, maybe not really a "trip", just went down to Livingston Texas to a pretty neat rock shop. Johnsons Rock Shop is a little off the beaten path, but well worth the rough trip on the gravel roads to get there. He has his whole back yard set up to look kinda like an old west town. He doesn't have tons as far as cutting rough, but he makes up for that with lots and lots of eye candy. I only wish I had taken my camera with me! If you are looking for Palm wood, this is th man to see I very highly recomend a stop by to see this place if you are in the area! You won't be disapointed! A word of advice: If you visit Mr. Otis, DO NOT mention anything about music or you will be there ALL day listening to his story's about the songs he wrote and recorded over half a century ago!

Hey,you need 2 days for that rockshop,1 to talk and 1 to look and buy.I went there the end of January,I posted lots of pics, they are under members photographs, page 6,pet wood pics and found a new rockshop, palmwood.Anyway,if anyones in the area,I recommend it too.I was taken aback when I entered his driveway, couldnt believe it. Did you leave me any palmwood?I'm ready to go back, but my wallet ain't. Has he started his new music studio yet? snuffy

Snuffy, the one thing I don't need is palm wood, so I left you plenty! LOL As far as the music studio, it is a work in progress.

I too went there a couple months ago. The place is amazing and they are some of the nicest people you will meet. He gave me more stuff than I bought! I highly recommend this place as a must do if in the area.
