I did a search and found one thread with only one picture of a piece of tumbled Noreena Jasper. Has anyone tumbled more of this and how did it turn out?
I did a big chunk (one end faced) on my vibrating lap this week and while the face is like glass, I'm not pleased with the shine.
Used Tin Oxide for the polish stage, should I try a different polish maybe?
I'd like to tumble a barrel of this, but don't want to waste the time if it won't polish well. How about you cabbers... any luck?

I checked on ebay and there were several finished cabs. Appears to be more of a satin finish than liquid.

Here's a neat trick that I learned awhile back. Use Google images and search for a mineral or rock name. You'll usually see a bunch of rocks in various conditions...and there's a number of images of NJ that has been polished. I'd guess that CO would be fine, as it would with other jaspers, but TO is a good next step if you have trouble. Obviously checking the other possibilities would be good. (contamination, etc)

I have cut and polished some Noreena cabs on a genie , and they did not polish real glossy either. So I dont know that it will polish real glossy ... I will keep up with this post to see if someone has a secret...

If a cabber can't get this stuff to shine, likely a tumbler will not be able to. Doesn't mean a tumbled stone can't look great, just maybe not as shiney as you'd like.
