MNH knows her way around tumbling. Been here awhile and is one of the few who posts regular updates of her efforts, even when they're nowhere near finished. Look at the size distribution, uniformity of rock types and the classification background. She's on top of it. Thanks for sharing! Looking good so far!

Julie, the link you posted to your last update to this batch gave me a good background. You've already been through the "carnelian takes a long time to get all the pits out before advancing to the next stage" topic. The carnelian is coming along and is looking good. You're choice whether to grind some pits flat, or open, at this point and run some more in coarse. The unknowns look softer. Is it possible they came from me? I can't tell, but I think I see a hint of mint green. I don't think you will be able to progress the unknowns with the carnelian, but they are probably working well to cushion and make a full load, so why not let them roll. You may need to start the unknowns separately with other softer material or pitch them. For now, they are helping the carnelian.

Hi All!
You know .... #1 ... first and foremost I love all my babies here .... my babies being anyone and everyone that takes an interest in any of my posts for whatever reason.
#2 ... I will always take into consideration any comments anyone makes to heart. Why is this ..... well you see .... sometimes the most glaring differences/problems are not so obvious to the tumbler.
To Wizard ... your input is very important to me as if I should have seen something and missed it .... you brought it to light... Do Not Stop doing that ... Even the happiest of tumblers will understand the point you are trying to make (even though the delivery may have been just a tad rough). I learn by listening the voices of all here.
Now to my sweetest ones .... DAMMIT I love you for always taking my side and I hope that in future time you will do the same again.
Now the for the most glaring of the issues .... a BIG RED ARROW pointing to the most beautiful of the carnelian pieces ...
I knew it .... I just knew that one, maybe others would point this out to me.
I saw this piece as being PERFECT in every way and yet I thought okay I will put it back into the batch as I was sure someone would say .... hello .... it needs just a bit more time in the 120-220. My posting of that picture BIT me on the ass big time. That's why I love my babies here. The most glaring I see and 2nd guess myself is the piece I knew in my heart was perfect.
Revco and Snuffy ......... Dam .... I love you both to pieces and expect only the same response in any post I make. Snuffy and Revco .... please never ever stop critiquing me or others on their heresay. I have always learned something new .....
Joanne .... This is not a mixed batch .... the Carnelian is one batch and the softer and very minty looking soft stuff is another batch.
If I have learned nothing else from any of you is to NOT mix MOHS.
Smooches and HUGS to Nature ...
HUGS and MANY thanks to Snuffy and Revco ...
Never leave me ... any of you .... Without you ... I cannot tumble to perfection without knowing my mistakes.

Hi Julie, looks like both batches are well on their way. Sometimes it feels like carnelian will never get finished with the rough doesn't it! That one does look ready to be pulled and there are a couple others that are close. The other load looks like chrysocola secondaries to me. Didn't you have a batch from either Michael John or was it Desertdweller? That is what I suspect anyway. Fran

Fran, they all look like they are coming along well. We have very rough agate that, as some calls it, "gets the through back for more grinding" path. We have some that has been in the 60/90 grind for months, some have been in longer. Several stones of the last batch we posted resided in the first grind a long time some for months. It is just time we all have a lot of. We love your spirit. Debby & Tom
