some of you asked for pics of the marra mambe well here they are......... Ralph tired cutting it again so now the piece is 2 1/2 lbs. $10 plus shipping.. thats the bad part, its too big for the small box so it would have to go into a med. flat rate. ty mary ann

That's a cool looking chunk there Mary Ann. Wish I "needed" it lol. Saving up for some Charoite now, so no dice.
One other thought though. I have heard (no personal experience) you can use a flat rate envelope for anything that will fit in it, as long as it closes tightly. You may be able to save on shipping that way.

OK, thank you. Am I going to be able to cut it with my 7" Husky? I went back & looked at a previous post on that piece & now I have a question. What did you mean by Ralph having problems getting it to cut right? Is there something I need to know before I start cutting or breaking it? Sent payment, BTW.

Maybe it will be one of those happy accidents, since I don't know what I'm doing anyway! The color & pattern is pretty, that's what I liked. 2badfrog, maybe I'll split it with you!

I have heard that to get good chatoyance you want to cut it at 15 degrees off-parallel from how the fibers are running, if that makes sense...
