Just got my faceted stones back today ;D:0 . I think they turned out pretty good for rocks I found. . Got them cut at www.lambertgems.com/ in Thailand. Should make a nice set of ear rings and a couple of rings. Not sure what to do with that tiny garnet. I mainly just wanted the sapphires faceted the others were more of a experiment to see how they would turn out as shipping was by far the biggest cost and a few more small stones made no difference hardly. For size comparison the faceted quartz in the upper left is 10 mm the wide way. Before After

No it wasn't expensive Jo, shipping was the biggest part. $41 all told but only $11 was actual cutting, the rest was shipping there and back. The price was what attracted me in. With all the unrest in Thailand right now I was wondering if I would see them again (it started after I shipped), but here they are. Not fast (3 months) but the price was right.

Wow Scott! I never considered faceting before, other than knowing I would never attempt it. But it's really cool to see the results and now you've got me thinking.

You have got some really nice gems a couple of gorgeous sapphires. I have also sent gems to lambert and have been very pleased with the results. Well worth the wait.

Those came out really nicely. Glad you got them back in such beautiful condition. Just a thought, you might find a way to set that garnet into a cab or a rock creation of some kind.
