I decided to try a bracelet I saw in a video tutorial online. It seemed simple enough but looks were deceiving...lol. I had some amethyst beads so I used those. Amethyst in argentium silver with hematite (I think) beads. another view last view I'm just glad the pictures don't show all the boo boo's I made, and yes I made boo boo's. I don't know if I'll do another one of these, it was a bugger trying to get it all lined up and wrapped tightly. I do have some more beads to use up though. What do you think?

I think it looks great! I am planning on trying to make a bracelet or two at some point. How much wire did this take? And, how long did it take you to make it? Whatever amount of time it took you, it will probably be at least twice as long for me, lol!! That really does look good, I like it.

Diane - I think that bracelet looks pretty dang good! I like the beads you chose, and the wrapping looks great to me. Are you going to give us the link to the tutorial? :-) The way you keep wrapping, you'll have yourself a store going soon. Great job. Barb

Thank you all. Here's the link Barb: www.jewelrymall.com/instructions-on-making-wire-bracelets.html Maybe one day I'll be able to sell my stuff, don't know if anyone would want it right now. Mike, it took me at least three hours but that was during two days because I had to go buy the figure 8 piece he was talking about in it. I used 22 gauge square argentium silver 2 pieces of 14" long, 10 rectangle shaped amethyst beads (some places call them "brick" shaped beads), 16 of the hematite beads (I think they were 4mm), one figure 8 connector, one piece of 26 gauge argentium silver wire 16" long, and about 12" more or less (probably less, I forgot to keep track) of 21 gauge 1/2 round argentium silver wire. In retrospect I should have started with 16" of the square wire like the tutorial says but I was trying to save money on wire. It fits my wrist just barely at 7" mostly because I lengthened the hook to 3/4" instead of the 1/2" he talks about. I wish I had checked out the tutorial on here first for the catch and the hook because it seems the same without having to buy the figure 8 finding. The hardest part for me was the wraps in between the beads. I started to think I had only thumbs to work with...lol. I don't know if I have it figured out yet. The outside wires aren't flat like a standard wrap would be so the crimping down was tricky what with trying to keep the wires side by side. Come on Mike, you can do it, I dare ya... Gee Amber I don't have any idea who that could be... ...lol Thanks again to you all for the nice comments, sure helps give a wrapper a boost of self esteem.
