This weekend is the local (to me) 36th annual Valley Springs Pow Wow May 7,8 and 9. There will be over 200 vendors with gems, minerals, rough rock and slabs. Also, jewelry, crafts, food, beer, music, camping, antique gas engines, radio controlled airplanes, Native American dancing, mountain men demonstrations and a booth with a local church group selling home made pies.
This is the show where I get most of my cutting rough and slabs. I have been going to it for over 25 years. Valley Springs is located about 60 miles southeast of Sacramento in California's Gold country.
