Hi all, I have just set up a brand new monthly contest on my website for free rock prizes. Each month will be a different contest & it is absolutely free - no catches, no obligations - just fun for rockhounds. The prizes will be something rock related & of good quality, not junk. Hi guys, the winner for May was a lady named Susan (susand24224 - a member of RTH). I announced the contest here, but it's also open to anyone who visits my website, so it's not just RTH people who enter. The winning Haiku was this:
age is true beauty
weathered skin hides perfection
the agate proves it
I only keep the winning entry up for maybe 5 days then I put up the next contest. The winners are announced near the end of the month & I put up the new contest at the first of the month, so they're not up long.
Roller - Sorry, on looking back - I did see your entry in there, I just didn't realize that it was you. I get a lot of entries & stick them into a folder as they come in, then look at them all together at the end of the month when I judge them. Your entry was really good, but I really fell in love with Susan's. Don't give up - there will be lots of contests!
By the way, Susan pm'd me & she is thrilled with her slab!

Adrian - your entry was so touching - it was a very difficult decision. I wish everyone could win. But, we are all winners here & I congratulate you on winning the Stoneage Industries contest. You more than deserve it!

Hi all,
For those of you who have been following the monthly contests, I have bad news. Due to a variety of time constraints, I am discontinuing the monthly contests for now, but I will still periodically post them every so often as I can. I have found that there just isn't enough time in the day for me to pursue this on a regular basis, so check back now & then on the website & I will also post a note here when I do put one on. Thanks to all of you who have sent in such terrific entries!
