The girdles/bezels meet up on the sides and make a sharp point, the same width as the rest of the girdles/bezels. the material on top gets cabbed as normal, being careful not to grind down past the line where you have marked your bezel line. hope this helps.

AMAZING Batch! I would say that flat fingers and no nails are a nice trade off for these! Fran

Wow where have you been hiding? ?? These are simply stunning, I really love them all but in particular these really stood out for me, the first jasper, I love that shape, the satin flash opal is very cool, gotta find some of that, the first pet wood, and the 1st red moss, wow, all are so super shiny and perfectly shaped! What an awesome job! Amber

Man that's a great group of cabs! Your material and workmanship are very impressive. I love the shape and material on that first one. My other faves are the fire agate, that rectangular one and the indian blanket. Never heard of Halite opal before, looks interesting.

Thanks for the compliments everyone.
Amber, I've been hiding in the wrapping forum mainly lol.
Tony, the halite opal comes from Milford, UT the same place as where the bacon opal/lee opal/candy stripe opal comes from. The gem grade stuff is called satin flash opal. there's a few guys on ebay who have a source for the stuff and sell cabs they cut from it. I happened to get a few pieces of low grade stuff from an old collector's scrap pile.
