I have been rolling my 12 lb lortone constantly with pet wood for almost 2 years now.I think this is the best all around tumble I've ever gotten, color and texture wise. If you like wood, enjoy. The whole batch. Palmwood The other stuff in it. snuffy

Nice looking batch. Did you shape them or tumble them as you found them?

Carlos, these were tumbled as found except for several slabs of palm wood. Most all the small pieces are already shaped and rounded off when I find them.

I really like the 12lb'er. On the batches I do, I run coarse for a week, clean out, recharge for another week.On this batch I did a third coarse recharge, and let it run for 3 weeks without opening.I skip the fine and prepolish stage grits, then run 2 weeks in reused polish. The larger size of this tumbler seems to lend itself to this system better than my smaller tumblers. But I need to add that the rocks I tumble start out as relatively smooth and rounded.
