I was asked by a few to post my second batch of rocks. This batch is roughly 5-6 weeks to completion. My next batch I just started is Recycled Glass. I'm using play sand and left over 90 grit mix. I'm using another Thumlers Tumbler model B for this batch. I have 2 Tumblers one and old Sear model I'm looking for pulley and belt. I figured I would use the bucket for glass. I'm enjoying my Lampworking for making pendants I added Pictures. Glass Implosions with Northstar hard 33 COE Colors learning Reduction, Neutral, and Oxygen Induced flame to bring out colors. I have been learning lampworking for roughly 6 -8 weeks. This is just for fun very I'm impressed with colors. Yep I'm wondering how many rocks will be thrown at me for posting the Glass? I will start to count now. Have A Great Day, Cliff

Hey Cliff, sounds like you have been keeping busy! Are you using photo bucket? There is a "how too" thread bookmarked, I think in this section to help with the posting of pictures. I tend to download photos to my computer and use microsoft to edit and shrink the size down to web large before uploading to photo bucket. It tends to make the process go much faster. Fran

Post a pic of that old Sears tumbler. I have an old Montgomery Wards that might be the same. It still works, but for how long I don't know. I don't use it, and would be glad to see it recycled. Don

I posted pictures of the Sears Tumbler missing the belt and small pulley that comes off the motor shaft.
I asked Shawn months ago he has no clue for the parts. He did go out of his way to help great guy.
Sears Companion Gem- Tumbler model no. 861.141.81 If I can't find it no biggie at least I have the bucket.
Thanks, Cliff

My Wards tumbler looks like the exact same machine. Many times a manufacturer would make these things, and would put labels from many different dept. stores on them. I'll pull the cover and see if the drive gears are still good. Get back to you later. Just looking at your pics. I think my shafts and bushings are in better shape than what you have. Don

OK, The gears are still good. I need to fire up my compressor and blow the spiders out of it, and I'll try the motor. This thing has been sitting under my work bench for about 14 years. I'd be glad to send it to you. It should fit a large flat rate box, but I don't know if the drum will fit. The housing is even the same blue color. Don

I just looked at your pics again. I think my shafts and bushings are in better shape than yours. Out of 2 machines, you should be able to build one really good one. Don

What size is your barrel ? Mine is 4" deep by 8-1/2" diameter. Even if mine is a different size, I think the motors are the same. Just plugged it in, and the motor runs great. Don
