I figured I would show my Play area open 24/7. It never ends when you add new items. Next to the Genie I use my Carrot Juicers for using extra laps. I bought the shaft adaptor's at Arrowhead. 1725 RPM Juicers work great. One has with red plastic collar flat laps which I take outside to use. This is just for show I'm no expert by any means. I try my best to protect myself. A few new small knots have been added to floor. Wife say's so what you can hardly see the new knots it only concrete floor below and concrete walls. Man glass on lap is not fun when you smell and feel. Blessed with a few burns on fingers. from hot glass. Note: Fuel Tanks are not next to work areas when being used. Porch is used only for annealing metals. Tanks are moved away from work area and flammables removed as well. Kiln area has a Blower 3 stage roughly 2800 CFMs so the room air is cleaned in RGH. 20 seconds . I run a fan with new air to come into room from behind me. Ventilation eye protection and Fire protection is very important. There are many areas to learn safety on internet. Special eye glasses are worn Phillips Green Ace Lense are designed for borosilicate work. The lens is the ACE formula but with a green tint for absorbing Infra Red light that is emitted with working borosilicate glass. These are available in Shade 3 and Shade 5 Lampwork area Oxygen tanks are behind two concrete block walls and chained. Flashback arrestors are used. Have fun be safe, Cliff

Damn, Nice setup! I'd be a bit worried about dust and the electronics. My CD player crapped out after 6 months and I'm sure it was because of dust floating around while polishing.

I don't worry about the electronics. I fix all computers and if an LCD goes no big deal 4 17-19 inch LCD's sit in garage. If a rock goes through screen oh well thats life. Dust thats no biggie you just take clean your systems.
This room use to have 4 Towers one laptop multiple screens.going 10 LCD's 19 -22 inch running. Electric bill not much to run wiht LCD's. . Its the heat thats the issue at times. Now with glass man it sure gets toasty.
Now I have made my life simple. My wife says man what happened to computer area. I use to run 7 days a week.
Computers I'm sitting on to many Laptops at the moment.
I passed this morning on another 17 inch LCD for $5. My area is hurting with economy.
All the tool boxes go figure yard sales all for $50 and $25 total $75. There is never enough room for Jewelry Tools etc. Beats the plastic ones I was using. I was going to buy new and there the boxes showed up finally. When it rains it pours with all kinds of items.
If I only could find Lapidary and Glass items. I do look at the ones that come up on Craigs.
Reference to the turtle just a glass one trying to make a Turtle pendant first one sits outside for the Lizard's. Sad looking guy but some say cool. I hang all my sad glass outside for wind chimes . Have a Great day, Cliff

Holy Crap! I need to clean my mess up!
Great looking shop.
My SO keeps threatening me when we have a weekend when were not doing a show and the weather is nice we are hauling everything out and putting it back in an orderly and organized manner. I both love and hate the idea. I'm sure I'll find lots of stuff I forgotten about but oh, my aching back!

The Long Horn Anvil I found in an Antique store. I almost missed it. I had a small anvil in my hand. I turned then looked and saw sign 20% off 2 weeks prior to Christmas. I looked on floor and there it was both out the door for $22. Boy I was smiling all the way to Truck.
The vise I picked up at a yard sale on a Sunday for $25. Hard to find oak stumps in my area but the pine will do for now. Eventually you find items but slim picking in FL. Thanks, Cliff

Very cool find on the anvil and killer deal on the vise.
You probably don't have many firewood dealers in Florida. I got a log cut fireplace size that wasn't split yet from a firewood dealer for $20.

I bought the Paragon SC-3 Silver & Glass Kiln. I did add a bead door and glass window. This gave me a lot of functions to do many things with this kiln. Lost wax casting PMC, glass, beads, and more. www.paragonweb.com/SC3.cfmAt the moment I'm doing my first batch annealing of glass beads. Beads that were placed in fiber blanket to cool. I then store them to do a batch anneal. This allows me to save a little energy. I prefer just firing up the kiln and placing my items in through the bead door. But sometime I just like to make a few items and store them to anneal later. My first beads in the last week. I use my marvers to shape and gravity for Boro and Soft glass beads. I just need lots of practice I will get there in time. Reference to the Juice grinders I purchased these from yard sales. I removed the cutting parts and attached arbor shafts to hold 6" Flexo-pad kit by Crystalite. 3 shaft adapters for 3/8”, 1/2”, and 5/8” diameter straight shafts. I also use the others on just grinders thatmatch the shaft adapters. www.arrowheadlapidarysupply.com/catalog/item.php?unid=4374&prodpa=Cliff

I finally found a mirror for the Lampworking area at a yard sale for $2 a few weeks ago. Today I found a piece of new Corian top 1/2" thick by 30"x 54" for top of counter for $7. Someday I will find a large glass top. I'm trying a Forman grill for pre heating glass rods. Have a Great Day, Cliff

The Flower Frog I use for my glass work. I ended up not removing the Boro glass quick enough and the glass got stuck. I messed up the brass pins. I found another one the other day at a Thrift store. The new frog is on the Corian Counter top. I removed the G Forman grill replaced it with a Presto Griddle I found at a yard sale this weekend for $3. The item was clean but I re clean everything. It did have a chip on side but it warms up. I will test that out with warming the glass rods as soon as it cools here in Fl.
I'm taking it easy getting over a back spasm. Messing with what to do with all the beads and Glass pendants. Leaning how to string the beads and what wires and findings to use. Learning how to tie knots for necklaces etc. I will post a new picture in a few days of play area. Its all part of the learning curve for me. Cliff
