So my wife and I completed our first joint project....The Ensemble I have been waiting for this for a long time. It has been one of my greatest desires to have my wife create jewelry from the stones I cut. This is the first step in that direction. Someday I would hope she would be motivated to learn how to wire wrap or silversmith. But for now I am well satisfied that she took a stone I cut and wrapped and turned it into a beaded necklace. I made the earrings to match. This started from a small slabette I acquired in an estate purchase. I am not sure what this is. Some sort of Lace for sure. It is a pleasant mixture of brown hues. If anyone knows what this is, PLEASE let us know. Without further a-do here is the slabette Then of course came the cab The wrap The earrings The necklace And the close-up

I bet the guy who mined this: knew the guy who mined yours. I picked up my rough at a gem and mineral show silent auction.

I love this, I have to laugh when I met Tony I said oh hun I love your cabs I will take a wire wrap class, well 2years and about $200 worth of wire later------ I can't wrap, LOL, so then he couldn't make cabs fast enough, so I had to learn to cab, LOL. She did a beautiful job with this, and maybe she will catch the rock bug and then you will be fighting for cabbing time! It is very fun having a partner who shares a love of rocks, I hope you can lure her in! Your cab is crazy lace agate from Mexico. Amber

2badfrog - I hope so too
Steve and Donnie - Thank you for your comments
Carlos - I bet it was his brother
Amber - I can only hope she gets the bug. I have a Genie, Pixie and a 8" Gem Maker so I think I could manage if she gets bitten! I would love giving those machines some double duty!!

Great work! I sure hope she will keep it up! I know it looks like crazy lace from mexico but it looks a little more to me like some rosetta stone I have. Maybe it is just the color of the picture that I am seeing that makes it appear a little pink. Fran

Awesome to hear your wife is getting into the hobby with you Christopher. That's a beautiful cab and she made it even more beautiful with all the beading.

Very nice group effort. My wife does bead work and dabbles in silversmithing.
The material looks like crazy lace agate called "Cactus lace" for the little cactus like features in the lines.

Hi All!
Everyone has said exactly what I was going to say ....
You guys make a great team and those pieces are cool!! I love the wraps.
I cannot remember seeing here if anyone identified the rocks. I think it is a Crazy Lace .... but I am not sure.
Nice work!!!
