All of those are pretty. That amethyst jumps out at me as the best in the bunch.

Sweet slabs, you have been busy. How does the Plasma polish? Is it equal hardness through out?

Bushmanbilly, So as soon as I read your post I went outside grabbed a small piece and cabbed it up so I could answer your question. Here are the results The lighting is terrible because I did it in my kitchen with fluorescent lights. But the material took a good polish and I did not notice any undercutting while cabbing. So it seems pretty solid all over even in the tan spots. I know some plasma is a lot softer in these areas but this material seems good. When I slabbed it a piece separated on two of the slabs. That is where the little pieces in the top of the photo came from and one of those small pieces is what I made the cab from. I imaging that there was a soft vein of material where the two slabs broke. In all honesty the material looks good throughout but I am sure there could be soft spot here and there. what I picked out at random took a high polish and was hard all over.

Haven't seen plasma agate with that much brown in it before. Haven't tried to cab it yet though. That amethyst is a real pretty purple.

Thanks Tony, the Plasma Agate is from the Clear Creek area in Southern Califonia in San Benito County. Collecting in this area is no longer allowed at this time. Most of the material I have been slabbing is material that I have stockpiled over a long period of time just waiting for the day that I had a saw big enough to cut it with.
