Howdy folks, Boy, I'm really loving this tumbler. Only difficulty is keeping it full as it sure holds a lot of rough. Anyway, here's a pic of the latest batch. Just my usually mish mosh of odds and ends I find and throw into the tumble bucket.Everything shined up well except some rhyolite I included which didn't shine up at all. Thanks for looking.....Mel

Shiney rocks!
Did you use the vibe start to finish or do the first cycle in a rotary?

Well, if anyone can gather enough rough to fill it, it's you Mel... just have another dumptruck full of rocks delivered to your door, that's all, LOL. Beautiful bunch! Jo

capbob: I use a big rotary for all my coarse grinding. I just keep accumulating the rocks I deem ready to move on in a bin until I have the ten pounds necessary for a UV-10 batch. Then I do usually 5-7 days in fine grind and about ten days each in prepolish and polish in the vibe....Mel

I always love your mixed up batches. It's like playing "I Spy" except you're hunting specific rocks.
I spy with my Big Eye ... a Newberry Nodule! Lavic Siding Jasper! (or is that jasper something from your driveway hunting???) Bubblegum Agate!
(Bet you can't tell I have a 4 year old I drive around with....)
Purty green stone in the upper right!

Hmmm, I think I spy some turritella, and maybe a piece of carnelian. What a beautiful batch Mel. I know what you mean about getting enough rock to feed that hungry monster! I am getting close to having another batch.... Fran
