Hi everyone!

Here's some well replaced Halysite (Bead Chain Coral). I think this stuff is about the same age as our Stromatolite's from around here, but I've only found one piece of it. I cut a few chunks off and threw it in with a batch of agate. It held together pretty good.

Halysite (Bead Chain Coral). We have never seen anything like this. Something new each day. Where does it come from? You did a great job on the polish, lots of shine. Halysite (Bead Chain Coral) learn something new every day.

Debby & Tom: It's an extinct form of coral. It lived in the late Paleozoic, Silurian period, 400-500 millions years ago. I found this fossil in Duluth, MN, but I think it can be found in many other places. Now that I've done a little checking, I don't think they're nearly as old as the Mary Ellen Jasper (Stromatolite)
