I haven't been posting much but I have been wrapping so here are my latest wraps. Local Rock from Tonyt - wrapped in sterling silver Rose Quartz (very pale rose color) with cotton candy jasper and sterling silver beads wrapped in sterling Boulder Opal from Tonyt - wrapped in argentium silver Thanks for looking, what do you think?

Diane, you have those swirls and curls going good with a definite flare. The BO is intriguing to look at.
I just figured out why. it's because when I think of BO, I think of a busy pattern in the stone with a more subdued wrap. This one is just the opposite. That's neat.

Cool wraps! I look at that BO and it looks like a slit eye side view with a lighter nose down. Not sure from what but really looks neat! Fran

Thank you all. Yes, that BO is a cool cab, Tony did a great job bringing out the little bit of opal in it and I love that shape.

Thank you Nate and Randy. I like that second one too. I wish it were a little more pink but the cab was very pale pink.

I like the pink one cause I like the beads! I like beads when they are small and blend nicely like that! Great job with the wrapping!

Well the cabs look a lot better when they are wrapped. You are doing some great work with that wire. Keep it up.

I really like how you wrapped the second one, how you worked the wires that trap the stone in place. Nice idea. I will have to study that method, see if I can copy that, if its ok.

Thank you all. Amber, I'm starting to like beads more myself. Sometimes they just add that little something to a more plain cab or set off the colors in them. Thanks Tony, you are doing some great work too. Your cabs are great. Mike, feel free to copy anything of mine. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery in my book db, I have no idea how much extra wire it takes, basically I just tend to "wing" it on my wraps. I usually add two inches for the bail and another two for swirls depending on the cab. Sometimes it's more and sometimes it's less (usually more though). I do waste some wire so mine is probably not the best method for measuring wire. The boulder opal seems to have an "eye" of opal looking out at me, maybe that's what's drawing you to it, Roller. Thanks Marie.
