Howdy folks, Another yard work day so I hacked off a few more slabs from my Rio Grande material. I guess this would be classified as a poppy or flowering jasper as it's opaque. Strange stuff with almost every shade of red, orange and yellow. Thanks for looking.....Mel Closer look:

I can't understand why Rio Grande Agate is so under-rated. I think it is one of the neatest agates there is!

I totally agree JR . This one is a honey and very solid. I throw all my Rio Grande stuff into one bin but if I remember correctly, I got this nodule in an order from you a few years ago. I remember I bought the lot especially for this piece because I had never seen this pattern in jasper from Texas before. I found a similar piece at Woodward one year but not quite as bright in color.....Mel
