Hey gang! You won't believe what I've been doing since I was last a regular here! I have had another surgery, they put in a new and improved larger pain med pump. One with a bigger reservoir. And if that isn't enough I've had 3 count 'em 3 heart attacks!!! All in one week! And even tho the chronic back thing has slowed me down I'm not all that out of shape. I could lose 10 pounds or so but I'm guessing it was that fast and loose lifestyle I had for my first 50 years that caught up to me and God said "Slow Down"!!! Stop eating bad stuff and smoking tobacco nit wit!!
So, I'm on the road to "Wellsville" and tumbling again with all my little red "toys" that I've been fortunate enough to take off of some of your hands. Thanks to all that have donated to my little herd of plastic tumblers! I've tumbled so much with them I'm having to order some new barrels because of wear and tear. I've also been doing a lot of cutting with my tile saw. Finally got around to the stone I've collected from the boxes we used to send around the country to one another (by the way what happened to that? I was hoping to sign up for one!) and cutting stone that I've mined from the Lost Emerald Mine in nearby Hiddenite NC. Plus my Step Mother in law found out that I was tumbling and cutting again and she was nice enough to send me a care package of rock that she inherited from an uncle that used to be nuts into like I've gotten. She wished she new sooner because she had a nice home made tumbler that would tumble 50# of stone!! Hate that I missed that. Plus she had the chance to "inherit" the slab saws he had but let them go to other relatives around the country. She is a sweety yessiree!
I've also got my 2 yo granddaughter hooked on going to the mine and sluicing buckets of stone!! Get em while they're young and they'll tumble forever!! I think she just loves splashing around with the big brush and picking out whatever stone she sees for "Pa-Paw" to put into his bag!
Other than that life has been good. Now, if anyone has a red "toy" tumbler that needs a happy home or if anyone is starting a "traveling box of rocks" let me know!! I'd love to get involved again!
