I've been getting brave and started working Opal and BO that other's have sent me. This is from Pporky. The piece had an amazing middle but as I started grinding, it started fading away so I stopped the shaping and just polished it. The matrix was basically plain brown and the cab is thumbnail size so I thought I would give it some bulk that centered on the green lightning. It actually also flashes royal blue and red at times. The wire is a bit marked from my tools so as soon as I get my vibe and steel shot, in the barrel it goes. Thanks for looking. Lori

Great as always Lori.... ... but, have you been peeking at my sketch book? I have a sketch that is remarkably similar to that ... really the only difference is the little curls on the side of the bail on yours are folded in front of the bail on mine.... but other than that..... Wierd ;D!!!! Hey, now I know that my sketch will come out pretty darn well, of course the stone I will use is nearly that sweet . .... I obviously love the design , and the opal looks too cool.... Pporky sure sent you a great piece, and you sure are brave, good work. Also, please post a picture after you have tumbled it.... If you don't mind Chris

Bill, thank you for the beautiful Opal and the words of encouragement that got me to get er done. Chris, Very strange. I actually tried to sketch this idea and I never do that because my drawings are terrible. I just think and re-think an idea and then go for it. The tumbling will just clean up the knicks and burrs and harden the wire a little. I'll post when I get the tumbler. Thanks all for the nice comments.

I love it! You built a frame for a beautiful cab. I have never seen anything like it. I keep staring at it but can't figure out how you did that. I would love to see the back. Please.

Very cool design. I love it. It frames the BO nicely. Great job on the cab too.

Here is the back side for you. I should have cut the bail wires a little shorter but was at a point of no return when I noticed it how long they were.

Lori, I saw this amazing wrap the other day and could have sworn I had commented but alas, I somehow didn't get it to register. I am good at that sometimes... You did a wonderful job and I have looked at it several times to see how you made it and just can't figure out what wire goes where. What an amazing frame for that beautiful stone! Fran
