Hi again! I purchased some silver and gold wire from Rio based on suggestions I've read on other posts here. I'm very happy with their service. So, these a few of my wraps I've made recently. Although I didn't show the back side of these wraps, I simply pulled the bale wires down and curled them flush with the back. Tha works fine for me. For the "bale wrap", I bent and tucked each end of the wire inside the top space just above the stone. I'm interested in what others do with these two "stray" wires. Hmmm... probably best if I take some photos and make a new post? Anyway... This is petrified palm wood. This one is munjina stone. It only took a matt finish, and so I want to try some fine grit diamond paste to see if I can get a little more polish out of the next one I do. And this one is polychrome jasper. Suggestions for improvement are most welcome! Kind Regards, Bill

Wow, I really don't see any way you can improve those. They are all beautiful! Just keep wrapping. Those cabs look great too.

You did a great job. Glad you posted the pictures and looking forward to seeing more of your work. As far as the "stray" wires looks like what you did works well. I have tried different things but haven't yet settled on the best way to deal with them. Perhaps some of the other wrappers can let us in on the "secret" method..

Thanks all for the kind words. I recently sent the palm wood (errr - see below) to my wife's mother for her 83rd brithday. I scored big points with her!
Hi Don. I'm not sure where the slab came from. I purchased a slab of it from a seller on ebay back early in March, and so the listing is long gone (ebay only goes back 60 days). I did, however, go over my old emails and found the "win" notice sent from ebay. Guess what... it isn't palm wood! Instead, it is petrified Sycamore wood. My bad... sorry! That is what I get for relying on my old brain.
Kind Regards, Bill

Those are really beautiful and I am shocked I didn't see this post before. Don't know how I overlooked such beauty! That first cab makes me think of the ocean sand on the beach as the wave is going back out to sea. I love the very clean and stylish lines you have on the wraps. You really did a great job! Fran
