Outstanding Mel! I've got some that you sent me tumbled and in the pile to photograph. It's beautiful and I'm looking forward to how this stuff turns out!

Sweet looking lavic Mel! Can't wait to see how it comes out. I know that stuff tumbles up really nice. Lavic jasper is one of my favorite rock to tumble. I love the those bright reds and yellows. Steve

Those are really pretty! I sure hope they don't have a bunch of soft spots. That can really get irritating when you are doing a load! Fran

Fran: I hope they come out good too. Lavic is one of those problematic materials and often contains crystal vugs, incompletely silicified iron oxides etc. I try to sort out most the bad stuff when cracking it up but still expect to have to throw out some of the finished stones. This usually reduces yields by about 20% or so but for some reason, I still love tumbling this stuff. I can't think of any jasper /agate that has more variation in colors and patterns coming from a single relatively small location. It's just real fun seeing what comes out of the barrel when you run Lavic.....Mel
