Well I have been liking the silver, and was asked to submit some work for an annual calendar by the PMC Guild, but we are struggling with photos so going to have to wait on that, the pictures just do not show the shiny silver, we are so frustrated. But you get the idea! Any photographic help is appreciated, we have the tent, the tripod and still the pics are terrible. Liver of sulpher with 3 cz's. Ocean jasper cab I made with smokey quartz Bamboo frame with Australian opal This is actually shiny silver with a clear cz in the center. White fiber optic glass with white beads Cobalta Calcite-got a piece of this at a show, the man said he never saw any with the hot pink veining, I loved it, but it is small. Blue resin with aquamarine and blue patina Aquamarine rough with set sapphire Pink mixed media, pink sapphire, pearlx resin and rose quartz, I love this piece it just makes me happy Palm leaf ring, well the first ring I made was too big, this is too small so maybe the 3rd time is a charm! Enjoy!! Amber

Wow, they are all gorgeous although the blue resin with blue patina is my favorite. You are really good at the PMC. Hope you can get some good photos to submit to the calendar, it would be really cool.

I'm sure you already know how to do this, but maybe the pic thing could be the white balance setting on your camera? The pics seem better with the white background and more yellow with the tan background. Hmmm... just a thought.
Wow, you are really doing super with these. Are you making those scalloped bezels out of the PMC as part of the piece and then pushing them to set the stones? That's what it looks like and that's pretty neat! The ring is super cool. You won't be the first to keep at it til you get it right, that's for sure. Great job with these Amber! Jo

Dang, Amber, your PMC skills are outstanding! But what really impresses me the most is your design talent. The designs in all of these are just amazing! I'd expect to see items like this in a regular jewelry store, not in a hobby forum! Doggoned impressive.

Jo: To set the stones, the PMC base piece is done and then I use regular fine silver bezel material, either scalloped or straight, although I find the scalloped easier to work, I then use a special oil paste which contains silver and smells like gasoline and close the end and attach it to the bottom then fire again, then when done I have to set the stone just like regular silver smithing, it is pretty labor intensive making the pieces with my cabs, they have fine silver bezel cups but in such small sizes, like the rose quartz on, that I had to attach and then set the stone.
Jo- the white was outside with my dishtowel, the tan was actually a white leather bust in the light tent, I swear the pics in the light tent are worse, Tony makes fun of my dishtowel pics, but for whatever reason they seem better, LOL
Warren-yes I am hoping to sell some of these, we are trying to get into some juried shows, I think due to price, not a lot of people are working the silver clay, so it is not something you see all the time, which should help.
Thanks, Amber

Just better and better! These are really beautiful Amber! Good luck with the photos. I never can get the hang of it. When I finally get one color to come out right, my blues will wash out or look black. Greens will be off. It is so frustrating! I think these will sell well! Fran

Amber, your artistic ability is just WOW! That blue resin with aquamarine is my fav but your happy one IS a lot of fun to look at.
Just my 2cents but I think your white background shows the pendants beautifully.

;D Hi Amber. Boy those are beautiful designs. Just coming off vacation and trying to smith some jewelry. I really need to post some pics. You are asking for help in getting the silver to show correctly. I am not sure what light your using, they may be out of balance, or it could be tungsten lighting. I would look at that first. You might try filtering your flash through a soft light, or the side of a milk jug, just the plastic, you could cut it off. I would go to a photo shop and check into filters for your lights, or some help on balancing the lights. If I can find any info I will get back to you. Maybe show a picture of your light set up. Take Care, Ed

You have great skills in this Amber. These are all fantastic. And if the pix are a little off, I can only imagine what they look like for real! I especially like the pink happy one, the blue one, ant the first one.

You are extremely talented in both the design and execution of your pieces. It would not surprise me if you do very well marketing your work. Good luck.
