Hi All Two finished off rings Ruths Carnelian Sorry this is a bit out of focus  Moonstone single band 3.2mm "D" SS wire, 1, photoed on the end of a torch  2, bottom view  3 Top View  I enjoyed doing this ring it only took a week spare time Coments and advice much appreciated, Jack Yorkshire uk |

Very nice. I haven't tried a ring yet, I still have to get a mandrel. How did you make the twisted rope around the carnelian? I'm still in the infant stage of silver work so I'm always impressed with others work.

Hi all Thanks for your comments , much appreciated Tony If your carefull you can use a big tapered punch and a raw hide hammer ! for ring manufacture 2 - I got a lenth of thin Silver wire and used a battery powered drill and a screw hook, Put the 2 ends in a vice , hook into the wire pull tight and turn till you get the required tention, Mike Just for you, front  back  This design above Im working on is made out of just one single lenth of wire , (1.5 Square) starts round the stone, over top Bail , one end to either side soldered on , insert stone then tightened by swirls both sides ? The above is the first attempt and has akward holding prongs on the back that I dont like The design dosent "Flow" right Another Pendant Im working on  Thanks for looking Jack Yorkshire uk |
