Hello, everyone!
This week-end we went in a rockhounding trip, in the same place I use to go every year with my rock friends.
This year I took my girls - Ina and Ioana - with me. They had a great time at a spa while I was rockhounding with the boys.
Firstly, here are the pictures from the rockhounding trip:
The road to the rockhounding area:
Before meeting my friends, I was glad to meet another old "friend" which joined us every time we were there. Notice his eyes are different colors, one blue and one brown:
Then, the team was re-united...
... and off we went upstream:
After only a few steps, a very nice find (not mine):
Then we kept going upstream, looking for cool rocks:
And we found some very cool rocks, let me show you the ones I found:
the whole group (notice my lucky hat from Roxy, given by Sheri and Jamie in Holbrook one year ago):
and some close-ups:
After this rockhounding trip, I returned to the hotel some 15 miles away and picked my girls for a barbecue. Ina took some pictures on the road:
We arrived again, we watched the pictures taken during the day...
... and then we set the fire for the BBQ:
No, we didn't drink the beer for pleasure, we needed it...
...to have the power to blow and strengthen the fire.
Firstly, we took turns...
... but there wasn't enough, so we tried it all together:
Man, what a tough job!
But it payed off: finally, Ina was able to cook the sausages:
(while I'm boasting with my favorite find)
She also was a firefighter:
And finally, we enjoyed the dinner:
All in all, the atmosphere was great, as this photo says best:
After that, the sun set off and we watched the Moon with a binocular. It is amazing how many details can be spotted with a 20 x binocular.
We had a fantastic time, I'd be glad if I'd had managed to share with you at least a bit of the great time we had.
Thank you for looking,
Adrian
