From the looks of the one in the second photo they were worn and appreciated for many, many years. It took a long time to get a patina like that! Bob

They originate very close to the Afghanistan/Iran border, I am a bead dealer and these were accumulated over a period of years from other dealers and private collections

for sizes the "Blue Sky" bead measures 25mm X 42mm
