Congrats on the Model B. I just started running one to back up my AR-2 anf feed my UV-10. This is a really solid tumbler and you won't have to worry about the lid popping off with six wing nuts to hold the gaskey and lid in place.
Be sure and order lots of coarse grit. You will use 1 lb (15 tbsp) to charge the barrel. You may want to watch your cycle time. I normally use a 5-day cycle for a 3lb AR-2 barrel, but find it takes a 7-day cycle for the Model B.
You may also want to try really coarse grit. Normally, Stage 1 is 60/90 SC. I have started using 47/70 SC in the Model B to maximize the abrassion and grinding in an attempt to reduce the weeks of Stage 1.
Good luck!
Darryl.

Welcome aboard Wayne, I have been tumbling for a short while myself, great addiction. I have been cutting cabs and wire wrapping for about 5 years now. Due to health reasons now I mostly tumble and do some custom cutting. I am sure you will enjoy your tumbler.

Hi Wayne, I have only been tumbling for about 6 months. I started with a Lortone 1.5E. It is really small but have now included a Lortone 33B. I have been so pleased with the stones from rough to polished. My son wraps so he can pick from my supply of polished stones. It is truly amazing when you see the transformation. This site has so much information and they really do help when you ask. Enjoy you new really big tumbler and don't hesitate to ask questions. Tanya
