On my next trip to Arizona I will be looking for my first show to sell some rock at. I will have about 1000 pounds of material, some being seen for the first time, and most from Saskatchewan. Where would be a good place to start? Some time in jan or feb is when I will be there.

The Tucson looks a bit intimidating for a first timer. I was thinking about quartzite. I know some RTHers go there. I would only have a few days to sell. Are the spots rented by the day or week or month?

Quartzite is the way to go! Talk to Jamie, MaryAnn or Tony & Chris. They all sold this year!

brent, quartzsite is $390 for the whole month. you can't just do a few days in desert gardens. But the pow wow is 5 days in jan. i don't know the cost there. i will see if i can find the link for you and then you can call them. i would do it soon as they fill up fast.

one more thing,........... i don't believe you want to do tuscon. The space rent for the show at electric park is $1600. Some of the rooms they rent out are $6000 just for the 10 days of the show. Too rich for my blood. hope this helps. mary ann

So do we get a preview of what you'll be selling? Understand if you want to keep it under wraps though.

Toad, I have posted some of the material in the past. I just haven't officially named it yet.

The Pow Wow is probably the best attended show at Quartzite. The spaces are small but pretty cheap depending on where they are. It may be listed as "QIA" show. The Pow Wow is outside the QIA building. A lot of the Cloud's dealers leave early to sell there and make more there than during the month or so at Cloud's. Many of the Deserted Gardens dealers will set up at Pow Wow also. Most people I know from So CAL that have only one weekend to go will always make it the Pow Wow weekend.
