There are no images for those pages on the hard copy..I think the pages were for images that never made it on the final roll out...John

I finally took the time to download this today, and cannot wait to review it in the evenings. I realize this has been out from some time but elementary and Sabre52 thank you very much for putting it together and making it available - and big thanks to all who contributed. Cheers to you all.

Thanks all for the comments.
Regarding Index 4 - The Cycad and the Wind River pg 27 and 29 - my master copy has the images, so I don't know why they might be absent now. When I update next year (can't believe it's been two years since the 2nd edition started), I'll double check those specifically.
I'm racing right now to finish the South by Christmas. After that comes the visual glossary which should go real fast. Then next year, I begin updating them all again.

I had all the original volumes until my PC crashed and I thought they were gone forever..... Thank You for bringing this back... I having them put on CD/DVD and may go have them published so I have a hard copy for myself and maybe 1 for a new to rock hounding friend of mine.
Now all you need is a South East section and you'll have the entire U.S. covered, s in the original volume 6 'The South', unless I am missing something.

I just tried to access the link and had an intrusion alarm. My software stopped the intrusion and would not link. Just letting you know.

Sorry about this folks. Ole Lowell is the computer guy between us and I've not heard from him in ages. My input to the data base was mainly editorial. Never answered my last note either. Have a California buddy visiting Texas next month and I'll ask what's going on with Lowell. Apparently he's still kicking because Lowell gave the guy my new e-mal addy.....Mel

After a long hiatus for various reasons, I should be coming back on line soon. I will check the files and see what is up. the media fire site years ago had an issue with setting up alarms, but I reused the site once it was cleaned up. The other site I had used was file4share, but they started requiring logins and passwords, and I know that many people out there avoid joining sites. I just wanted people to be able to click on the link and get the file. With the arse ended people out there who live to cause grief I others, the internet always runs the risk of virus and malware. Pain in the gluteus Maximus. So, sorry for being gone., but I just needed a break.
I have collected a ton of new material, esp from Oregon with the help of a couple people, and look forward to finish the last belated Southern Volume.
I am happy that people have found this tool useful, and thank you for all who have given their time and images for this project.
Mel, huge apology for disappearing. Will talk to you offline. Got your MSG from Greg. Glad he had a chance to visit.

Hey. When I try to view the files, it appears to be working. Please post if you have trouble otherwise.

Just wanted to thank you for this index! The California one seems pretty comprehensive, as far as I can tell. If I'd come across this a little earlier, I might have made better use of my rockhunting mileage Hopefully I can contribute some pictures from my own journeys in the future

Does anyone have the mountain states index. I can't find a link to it. I have everything but that one. Figured since Im moving to Montana it would be wonderful to have.

When I click on the links (doesn't matter which one) it says: "File not Found. Sorry, that file doesn’t live here anymore. It might have been moved or made private." Later, jeri
