Here ia a piece of layered Rhyolite from New Mexico........it was given to me by one of our older club members...like I am young. He is 84, and still very actively rockhounding. Maybe Mel can tell us more about this material. When cut, and polished, it does take a nice polish, it looks like some kind of pet wood. Woody

*S* I've seen similar stuff before but don't ow anything about it other than it was called banded rhyolite. Seen some of the red and white kinds called candy cane rhyolite. That's about it....Mel
