Nice batch John,My wife loves the banded agate. Did you get you Louisiana banded agate from the Amite River? I have been wanting to get down there and get me some to tumble. Just cant find the time.....We find a few up this way but not many.

Thanks everyone....Hey Slabcabber I havn't hit the Amite river yet ..I find most of my stuff on the Homochitto and other creek beds around Natchez...I have walked a few creeks down by Baton Rouge....John

I used to walk and flyfish on the Comitte for bass. Maybe I need to go back there since I started tumbling. You have any suggestions or just walk around with your eyes down. |

Hey Robboo, Look for gravel bars ,walk slow..head down,carry a walking stick to flip the rocks and to check for (soft)sand....Mainly take your time and enoy the walk....John

Lots of stuff in that batch! The turritella sure has some great fossils showing and the Montana has some fantastic pattern to it!
