That's a great rock! Thanks for posting it.
Is that a seam agate, nodular, or are both types represented? (Sorry - the teacher in me asks these questions...)

Lowell, It is almost exclusively nodular. It is found just above the California border from the COPCO Agate location. The Lincoln Agate came in much larger pieces than COPCO and it has more carneilian coloring. The site has been closed for many years now. Bob

That location information is interesting, Bob. I'd never heard of Lincoln agate but when I saw the shapes and dendrites I immediately thought: Copco. My instinct was validated when you mentioned the two deposits were adjacent. I'll bet it yields some very nice cabs -- very nice material!

I haven't cabbed any of the Lincoln Agate because all of my pieces are larger specimens. Here is a photo of a piece that I face polished. Bob

Wow, neat material. Was shocked to see a 30$ prize-tag on one of the slabs, but then I saw the dendrites. Subherb material.
There seem to be quite a few lines criss-crossing a few pieces; are those fractures?
