I bought this on ebay thinking it sounded like a good deal for polish on harder stones like agate and jasper. On my first try the rocks looked better after the pre-polish stage than after 6 days with the SC... ? Ran them again in AO polish for 5 day and looked great then. Ordered more AO polish a few days ago. 1500 Silicon Carbide? Anyone have any info on this??? Thanks!

Yeah, most polishes are a finer grain than even 1500, so you probably wouldn't get any polish out of it. It would probably do you some good after a 500ish pre-polish. I do 1000 grit AO prior to polish and it helps me a lot with my success rate on mixed loads. I probably wouldn't try going from 120/220 to that...unless you left 'em in there for a couple weeks or so. It will also help with softer stones and those that have slightly porous surfaces. Hope that helps!
